"As a specialist in internal and psychosomatic medicine / psychotherapy, I have been working in the field of psychocardiology for over 30 years. In addition to psychophysiological and epidemiological connections between psychological and organic processes, I am particularly interested in how we can support psychologically distressed heart patients in living better with their illness through targeted therapies. In addition to questions about diagnostics and the importance of quality of life (also understood more broadly in terms of the good life) in cardiovascular medicine, I have focussed in recent years on the development and testing of collaborative treatment concepts to improve quality of life."
